Emily Donaldson is a Toronto-based editor, writer and critic whose book reviews appear regularly in both The Toronto Star and Quill and Quire magazine.

Before going freelance, Emily worked as a journalist for a community newspaper in Northern Ontario and for seven years at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, where she worked in various capacities in marketing and publicity, including Manager of Marketing and Creative Services for CBC International Sales. She has over 15 years experience writing and editing a wide variety of print material for clients that include publishing houses, magazines, authors, filmmakers, design studios, politicians on three levels of government, graduate students, real estate agents, the Hot Docs Festival and the Toronto Board of Trade.

Emily has a Master’s degree in English from Concordia University, a Bachelor’s Degree in English and History (Hons.) from McGill University and a Certificate in Editing from George Brown College. She is a member of the Editors' Association of Canada (EAC) and the Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC).
